Atlante with Mastercard for a user-friendly electric mobility and a more sustainable future

Milan, 27 September 2023 – Atlante, the company of NHOA Group, dedicated to electric vehicles fast and ultra-fast charging network, joins the Mastercard Priceless Planet Coalition and introduces card payment at its stations with a campaign dedicated to Mastercard customers. Starting on 27 September, Atlante will plant two trees for every charging session paid through the Mastercard circuit at Atlante charging stations located in Rome Fiumicino Airport.

This partnership, which sees both Atlante and Mastercard join forces to simplify the transition to a more sustainable mobility and in a true reforestation effort, highlights the common values the two companies share and Atlante’s intention to expand the accessibility of its services to an increasingly wider audience.

Mastercard is not only a global leader in electronic payments but also a company whose innovative drive has accompanied us for decades through a technological evolution, rightfully entering our daily routines. Likewise, I strongly believe that Mastercard will accompany the e-mobility revolution by making an easier and more immediate access to our fastcharging infrastructure. This is why Mastercard is an ideal partner with whom to share our broader commitment to a zero-emission mobility and a future in harmony with our planet. This is a responsibility we strongly feel at Atlante and we are happy to serve the community through the Priceless Planet Coalition initiative“, commented Stefano Terranova, CEO of Atlante.

With the Priceless Planet Coalition program, Mastercard, together with its network of partner companies, aims to plant 100 million trees in collaboration with both the Conservation International and the World Resources Institute, two international organizations that have been working for years in forest protection, implementing projects in Brazil, Kenya, and Australia, as well as in Europe. As of today, Atlante also joins the project’s network of European partners – including financial, corporate, and governmental entities – to achieve a tangible impact in the fight against climate change.

The collaboration with Mastercard ties in with Atlante’s recent decision to expand the accessibility of its charging service by integrating POS terminals at its fastcharging stations; a new option that will enable electric vehicle drivers to recharge their cars by paying directly through debit, credit or prepaid card. Designed specifically to meet occasional or pay-as-you-go charging needs, the solution positions Atlante among the early movers in the industry.

The trial aims to provide customers with ease of use, price transparency and flexibility as they move towards a future characterized by an increasing multitude of payment methods. The project is currently in an initial phase in Mantua and in two of the Atlante points of charge available at Rome Fiumicino airport, a hub also identified as strategic for the launch of the campaign dedicated to Atlante customers paying with Mastercard.

This initiative represents a first step that opens the door to future expansions and the development of services dedicated to all those customers who pay by card, while, at the same time, contributing to the construction of a more sustainable future.
