Caselle Torinese, 19 February 2025 – Atlante inaugurated today its new fast and ultra-fast EV charging stations at Torino Airport. The project, developed in collaboration with SAGAT S.p.A., marks the beginning of a strategic partnership to promote sustainable, zero-emission mobility at one of Northern Italy’s key airport hubs.
The charging infrastructure, distributed across the airport’s main parking areas, includes 19 electrified stalls powered entirely by renewable energy. Thanks to Atlante’s advanced technology, the stations provide charging power ranging from 22kW quick charging to 400kW ultra-fast charging, ensuring efficient and flexible charging solutions tailored to the needs of passengers, companions, rental cars, taxis, and public transport vehicles. Additionally, the stations are accessible 24/7 and designed to accommodate all users, including individuals with reduced mobility.
“Today’s inauguration marks a decisive step towards a zero-emission future. With these stations, we reaffirm our leading role in combining technological innovation, sustainability, and accessibility, particularly in a key sector like aviation, making electric mobility a tangible reality for all. The inclusion of Torino Airport in the Atlante network, which already features more than 1,200 online charging points — including ongoing projects for the development of our charging network along the Italian highway system — further strengthens Atlante’s position as a major operator not only in the area, where we also have stations at the ToDream shopping center and Settimo Cielo Retail Park, but across Italy and Europe,” said Gabriele Tuccillo, CEO of Atlante Italia.
The newly inaugurated Atlante charging stations are not only a model of sustainability, thanks to their exclusive use of renewable energy and integration with energy storage systems but also offer added benefits: at the Bye&Fly parking area, drivers charging with Atlante will receive up to one hour of free parking.
With this latest inauguration, Atlante further strengthens its presence in Italy’s major airports: it already includes four ultra-fast charging stations at Rome Fiumicino, as well as stations at Milan Linate and Malpensa, reaching over 50 active charging points.
“By inaugurating Atlante’s new charging stations, we are pleased to play an active role in the decarbonization of road mobility. This installation is a concrete step in our commitment to environmental sustainability, helping to reduce emissions beyond our direct control. Offering passengers and all users of Torino Airport the possibility to use and recharge their electric vehicles represents yet another important step in enhancing the experience of those traveling to the airport while simultaneously contributing to reducing the environmental impact of the airport and its users. Collaboration between partners and the sharing of common goals are key to fostering a growing culture of sustainability,” commented Andrea Andorno, CEO of Torino Airport.
Today’s event was attended by Sonia Cambursano, Councillor of the Metropolitan City of Turin with responsibilities for economic development, productive activities, tourism, and strategic planning; Giuseppe Marsaglia Cagnola, Mayor of the Municipality of Caselle Torinese; Michelangelo Picat Re, Mayor of the Municipality of San Maurizio Canavese; and Enrico Alfredo Demaria, Mayor of the Municipality of San Francesco al Campo, welcomed by SAGAT CEO Andrea Andorno and Atlante Italia CEO Gabriele Tuccillo, who officially inaugurated the charging stations with an initial plug-in ceremony. The event also brought together key stakeholders from the sustainable mobility sector, all united in their commitment to promoting a shared vision of a greener future.
