Montpellier, 27 February 2024 – Atlante, the company of NHOA Group (NHOA.PA, formerly Engie EPS) dedicated to the creation of a fast and ultra-fast electric vehicle charging network for electric vehicles (EVs), announces today the opening and inauguration of its latest ultra-fast charging station in the Odysseum shopping center in Montpellier. Following a successful initial installation at the Grand Place shopping center in Grenoble, Atlante continues its development with Klépierre at the Odysseum shopping center.
Conveniently located at the heart of the Odysseum shopping center, this new Atlante station features state-of-the-art ultra-fast charging enabled by energy storage.
A first-of-a-kind station in France thanks to Atlante’s cutting-edge technology
With over 12 million visitors a year, Odysseum, the Montpellier’s shopping and leisure destination is the first among its peers to host Atlante’s new generation charging station. This station is equipped with ultra-fast chargers from Italy’s Alpitronic, is powered by a battery storage system developed by Sweden’s Northvolt, Europe’s leading battery manufacturer, and features Atlante’s proprietary Energy Management System, which ensures seamless interaction between the grid and the storage system, while delivering hassle-free charging to Atlante’s customers.
The station offers 8 charging points, each providing up to 150kW so that EV drivers can recharge 80% of their batteries in about 20 minutes, depending on the vehicle model. Beyond speed, thanks to the incorporation of storage, this new generation station optimizes the use of the power grid – a precious public infrastructure – and improves the station’s economics, allowing electricity to be stored during off-peak hours and supplied during peak hours, thus ensuring users optimal rates while enjoying a smooth recharging experience.
The station is accessible to people with reduced mobility, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all EV models, compatible with all charging standards, and available on all the main electric mobility apps.

The installation of this new generation Atlante station in the parking lot of the shopping center marks a new step in its sustainable approach and is part of the broader Act4Good™ sustainable development strategy of Klépierre. The Klépierre group aims to net zero carbon in its shopping centers by 2030 and has already reduced the energy consumption of all its centers in Europe by almost 50% in less than 10 years.
