Madrid, 10 July 2023 – Avanza Food, a leading restoration group, since 2018 property of the investment fund Abac Solutions and its management team, announced an agreement with Atlante, a company of NHOA Group (NHOA.PA, formerly Engie EPS), dedicated to fast and ultra-fast charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, to electrify the parking lots of its restaurants in the Iberian Peninsula.
With this new partnership, Avanza Food takes another step in its commitment toward electric mobility and clean energy consumption in its restaurants. To this end, Atlante will install fast and ultra-fast charging points for electric vehicles, powered exclusively by renewable energy, in the parking lots of the free-standing (cottage-style) restaurants of Carl’s Jr. and Tony Roma’s.
Thus, the owners of electric vehicles will have access to the new fastcharging points, powered by clean energies, at the restaurants of the two brands, both great icons of global catering, where they can fully recharge their vehicle’s battery quickly and smoothly, mainly thanks to the highly developed and cutting-edge technology of Atlante.
“We continue to take important steps in our commitment to creating sustainable value. Thanks to this agreement, we can contribute to promoting electric mobility in Spain, hand in hand with a company that represents a benchmark in the energy sector in Europe, such as Atlante. From now on, our Carl’s Jr. or Tony Roma’s restaurants will become a meeting point where our customers can recharge their electric vehicles while enjoying the best gastronomic experience of our brands,” says Augusto Méndez de Lugo, CEO of Avanza Food.
“The mission of Atlante is to accelerate the transition to zero emissions mobility by installing fast and ultra-fast charging stations in Southern Europe, especially in the Iberian Peninsula, to enable EV drivers to recharge their vehicles effortlessly and in a stress-free environment. The partnership with Avanza Food will allow us to fulfill our commitment to sustainable mobility and encourage EV drivers to approach our stations to enjoy the best possible fastcharging experience while enjoying a high-quality gastronomic occasion,” says Giovanni Ravina, CEO of Atlante Iberia.
The new partnership represents a fundamental milestone for both companies, as it will be a significant step forward in Avanza Food’s commitment to sustainability and a considerable boost for the expansion of the Atlante network on the Iberian Peninsula.
